Letter of appeal to the people of Insiza North and Opposition Parties across Zimbabwe.

I trust you are all gripped with the great opportunity the by-election in Insiza North presents, for us to unshackle ourselves from the misrule and policy bankruptcy of the ruling party. We call upon the people of Insiza North to unanimously support and vote for our candidate in the by-election, Cde Thabani Mlotshwa, for a genuine representative of the people in Parliament. We also call upon opposition political parties focused on this by-election to support our candidate and hereby pledge our future support on a reciprocal basis.
As ZAPU, we have called for this unity of purpose, time and again, realizing the futility of going it alone against ZANU PF, a selfserving party that abuses state apparatus and our armed forces for power retention. We must unite to send ZANU PF packing from Insiza North and other constituencies whenever vacancies arise, till the next general elections in 2028. As we prepare modalities to call for national democratic convergence, we invite our compatriots in opposition parties, to unite for every by-election so that we introduce more opposition voices in Parliament, in order to stop the nefarious ED2030 Agenda. Only genuine representatives of the people can stop the shredding of our sacred national constitution, by corrupt individuals driven by greed and selfishness.
To the great people of Insiza North, we say here is your golden chance to take the lead in the restoration of our legislature by electing a candidate who will genuinely serve as your chosen representative. Your call for servant leadership has been heard and Cde Mlotshwa is the answer to your socio-economic aspirations as a people. We will support him to deliver on every promise he makes as he campaigns for your votes. As he goes to Parliament, loyal to the people and untainted, he will serve your interests and speak on your behalf. He will remain approachable and available to hear your voices and carry them to Parliament so that tangible solutions can start to manifest in your constituency. Vote for Cde Mlotshwa in your numbers and send a clear message to the whole nation and beyond.
To the opposition parties and key stakeholders who will consider our appeal for support, we urge you to appreciate the power of unity for the people’s benefit. To those who have already indicated support for our candidate, we are very grateful and reiterate our reciprocal support for your political endeavors moving forward. I must hasten to mention our compatriots in Mthwakazi Republic Party (MRP), who have publicly endorsed our candidate and demonstrated sincerity by withdrawing their own candidate from the race. We value their gesture beyond words, knowing the magnitude of selfless sacrifice it takes to forfeit such an opportunity for the sake of our candidate. As ZAPU, we believe in the ideology of multi-party democracy, as opposed to the one-party state harbored by ZANU PF since its formation in 1963.
Let the Insiza North by-election mark the return of ZAPU in Parliament to rescue Zimbabwe from further decline. Every vote for Cde Thabani Mlotshwa is a step towards a normal country that works for all. Together we can restore Zimbabwe and establish the united force that will finally dislodge ZANU PF in 2028. The journey begins now with this by-election. No matter how much the ruling party abuses the state machinery at its disposal, our united effort as opposition parties will triumph. Let us vote for genuine patriots. The power is in our hands.
